Experience

Your tour will start at the Marheineke Markthalle. Opened in 1892, this indoor market boasts a wide selection of the very best organic and regional produce. Once you have finished surveying and maybe sampling the market’s specialties, you will visit one of Berlin’s best purveyors of the famous currywurst. After a relaxing stop at one of Kreuzberg’s fashionable coffee houses, you will continue your walk through the heart of the district, while sampling Berlin’s very best vegan donuts. Your next stop is at the birthplace of the donner kebab, Hasir Ocakbaşı, where you will get the chance to sample this globally popular dish. Your walking tour will then terminate at the Markthalle Neun, a thriving, contemporary market nestled within a delightful market hall which originally opened in 1891. Be prepared for an assault on your taste buds and your senses!

Uptaste

What is Uptaste? We’re something like a travel agency business (although we don’t sell flights or hotels). Instead, we specialise in finding the right place to eat, wherever and whenever you are, using location intelligence combined with expert and community curation. Uptaste destinations will rarely be restaurants; they’ll be shops, they’ll be street traders, they’ll be local markets, or some other easy-to-miss but hard-to-forget place.
