Experience

Start at the main station. From there, head to the Carrot Milieu Mainz and enjoy delicious vegan treats. A short walk away is N’Eis am Rhein, a place well worth the wait for great ice cream! Cool off by the nearby bank of the Rhine and admire the view of the river. There’s park benches and large meadows to relax on. Then, take a stroll towards the old town and take a look at the cathedral, one of the iconic sights of the city. It’s the perfect place to take some photos or look at the city’s balcony, decorated with pretty flowers. Afterwards, head to the Stadtbalkon for fancy cocktails or healthy meals. The outdoor terrace is perfect for enjoying the view over Gutenbergplatz with cool drinks.

The Rhine bank at Winterhafen is the perfect place to take a little time out and enjoy the view.

Mainzer Dom

An architectural masterpiece in the city centre, the Mainzer Dom is one of Mainz’s iconic landmarks. Open daily to visitors, it’s well worth a look.

Stadtbalkon

In addition to the large selection of delicious dishes and drinks, this special restaurant is open long into the night. The perfect place to end the day with fancy cocktails and a view over the Gutenbergplatz.
