Experience

Start your tour with a relaxing visit to Ocean Beach. There is plenty of beautiful white sand, so pick your spot and chill out. When hunger sets in, cross over the road to the Beach Chalet restaurant and savour the beautiful coastal views as you fuel up on some great American fare. After lunch, stretch your legs a little and discover one of San Francisco’s iconic landmarks, the Dutch Windmill. From there, hail a robotaxi and journey down to the San Francisco Zoo, an establishment perfect for the whole family.

Route

Ocean Beach

Ocean Beach is a picturesque 3.5-mile stretch of white beach with few tourists and no high-rises. It’s great for strolling and flying kites.

Beach Chalet

The Beach Chalet is a restaurant and brewery with a beautiful ocean view and serves a variety of American fare, including seafood, burgers, and sandwiches.

Dutch Windmill

The Dutch Windmill was built in 1902 to pump groundwater for irrigating the park’s lawns and gardens, helping to transform the dunes that once covered the area.

Robotaxi

Hail a taxi and head to Drop Off Point.

San Francisco Zoo

The San Francisco Zoo is one of the best places in the Bay Area for a fun-filled, family friendly day out. The 100-acre zoo is home to more than 1000 individual animals with more than 250 species.

Practicalities

  • The Pacific waters at Ocean Beach can be a little chilly, and there are potentially dangerous currents, so plan to only put your toes in the waters
  • We are not affiliated with any taxi booking platforms. Book & pay for your taxis directly (we will tell you when)
