Experience

Start your tour at the historic Fort Point National Historic Site. Discover the history of this impressive stronghold and examine the fort’s unique view of the bridge, from underneath it. When you are ready, hail a robotaxi to take you up the hill to the entrance of the bridge. At the Golden Gate Bridge Welcome Center learn a little more about one of the world’s most famous bridges and indulge yourself with in a Golden Gate-themed keepsake or two. Enjoy the view of the bridge and maybe even have a coffee at the Round House Cafe, which is in the center’s grounds. Walk along the California Coastal Trail, which will lead you under the bridge and along the Pacific coast to Battery Godfrey, one of a number of interesting ruined military defences which protected the entrance to the Bay Area. Once you have soaked up the history and viewed the bridge from afar, hail your robotaxi for the next stage of your tour. Your robotaxi will drop you off at the beautiful little China Beach, which is an ideal place for the family to relax. The beach also offers a stunning coastal vista that stretches all the way to the imposing Golden Gate Bridge.
