Experience

Start your tour of the historic and bohemian neighbourhood of Jericho in the aptly named Jericho Café. Then take a stroll to Woodstock Road and visit Will’s Deli to sample a range of local and organic produce. After, grab some ice cream at one of Oxford’s best ice cream shops, a favourite for locals, tourists, and students alike! When you’ve finished your ice cream, you’ll be visiting the Oxford Wine Shop, an award-winning stop where you’ll be able to take a couple of bottles home with you. Finally, finish your tour at Branca, a great Italian restaurant serving fresh pasta dishes and mouth watering stone-baked pizza. Jericho is a really great area of Oxford to explore. Hip, trendy, and with a strong community spirit, Jericho is a creative part of the famous university city and perfect for foodies.

Will’s Deli

George & Davis (G&Ds) ice cream

Oxford’s most popular ice cream shop sells a wide variety of flavours as well as waffles and bagels.

Oxford Wine Shop

A relaxed bar selling a wide range of wines and spirits as well as sharing platters of cheese and meat.

Branca

Branca is a lively, stylish restaurant serving stone-baked pizza and pasta dishes.

Practicalities

  • The best time to start this tour is mid-afternoon. This will give you a few hours to wander through Jericho and visit various cafes and shops before ending the tour at Branca restaurant. If your visit is during the summer, make sure to have dinner in Branca’s lovely garden terrace
